Play-Based Learning

The purpose of the Full-Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program is to create a strong foundation for learning. Children are full of natural curiosity and they explore this curiosity through play. When kids are playing, it's the perfect time to learn! Play teaches children how to problem solve, how to make friends, how to express themselves, how to recognize letters and numbers and how to enjoy the world around them.
We provide a classroom environment that meets the developmental needs of all children, and provides a variety of learning opportunities throughout the day.
While children play, they will chat with their friends, ask questions, cooperate, figure out how to stop their block tower from falling, draw pictures and role play. They will tell stories, sit quietly to listen to others, explore, inquire, observe, discover, reflect, share, problem solve and teach. All of these activities help children develop and learn either independently or guided by one of the educators in the classroom and eventually acquire the skills that they will need in grade one and beyond.
