Hello Parents,
With the Easter weekend ahead, I would love to take the Raz Kids Journals home to read and write a few comments. I hope you continue to encourage your child to listen, read and record their voices at least for 10 minutes nightly. A goal of 2 journal entries per week would also be very beneficial. Keep up the good work and thank you for your support!

News Bulletin!
Spring has finally begun, and the children have discovered that spring is the beginning of growth, new life, and seasons changing. With a seed planted, we bloomed a beautiful flower shop into our dramatic play area. Our little florists have been making flower arrangements and pricing flowers and creating their own flowers to add to our play. We have various pretend flowers and plastic vases and never enough materials to expand and challenge their learning. We need your help! paper towel rolls, money stickers, pretend play money, old wrapping paper, plastic vases, pretend flowers, plastic watering cans, coffee filters are among some items you can give/lend. Please provide your child's name on all items you would like returned.
REMINDER
Please remind your child that home toys are not permitted to be at the school. If you find any items in your child's bag that doesn't belongs to our class, please return them! We have many games, puzzles, and patterning equipment that can longer be used due to the absent of these items.
Thank you

IPAD Headphones for Kindergarten
Every week the children are exploring many educational apps on the IPAD. It is important for them to hear the instructions clearly in order to complete the tasks asked. One of main apps used in Kindergarten is our Dreambox program, this program allows teachers to assess each child's progress through various mathematical questions. We are asking parents to provide a headset for their child in a labelled ziplock bag to help keep focus of the game.
Thank you for your cooperation

An egg hatched and..... (Panetta/Bruyn)
Look what came out! We created a prediction chart. Describe the egg before and record what happened to the egg after it hatched.
Ask your child what they saw!

Spring is here or...... at least on it's way!!!
Friendly reminder that the students will still require rubber boots/winter boots and splash pants/snow pants for another while as the school yard is very wet, slushy and muddy. We really need to get outside for some fresh air daily and it is so difficult for the little ones to stay out of puddles. We want to keep them as dry and comfortable as possible. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Mme. Finlay / Ms. Lavoie's Class
For the last three weeks the children have shown a big interest in space! We have made bottle pop rockets to macaroni planets. The children have talked so much about planets that we've discovered a little bit of information of each planet. Ask your child what planet is the closest to the sun? What is the furthest planet from the sun? Why can't we live on these planets?
