Regarding our Valentine Boxes for February 14th....
Could we ask that you send a quick note in your child's mailbag if you are decorating a Valentine mailbox at home. We would like to make sure everyone has something to put their cards in on February 14th. Thank you very much,
Mrs. Panetta and Miss Bruyn

Valentine Box
We hope the Valentine Card printing is going well.
The students are going to require a container
to hold their Valentine Cards on February 14th.
Your child can either bring all the material
necessary to decorate any kind of container
(cereal, tissue, pasta or shoe box for example)
and it can be completed at school or your
child can complete it at home and bring it in no
later than February 13th please. Don't forget to
cut out an opening large enough for our little
Mail Carriers to deliver their mail.
Thank you!

Mme Finlay / Ms. Lavoie's Class
A big THANK YOU to all our families who helped contribute items towards our hospital / Vet clinic. The children organized daily appointments and Ms. Lavoie had many vaccinations. :)
Requests from the Panetta/Bruyn Classroom...
Science
We have been exploring with expanding crystals in our sensory bin this week which prompted inquiries about sinking and floating. We thought we would add a different activity to the list of activities we will be exploring this coming week. At home, with your support if needed, we would like each child to create something very simple that they believe will float. Household items, especially recycled materials would be great. Don't worry if you know it won't float, it's all part of the thinking process. The teachers will also create some that will sink on purpose!
Art and Science
We are asking for any empty, clear plastic containers for an upcoming art activity. Pop, juice, water, soap bottles would all be great. Magnets will also be used for this activity so keep asking your child about the magnet and paint experiment and see what they have to say.
Thank you so much,
Stella Panetta and Melissa Bruyn
